Your Bitkey app must be connected to the internet to be fully operational.
If your phone is offline or in Airplane mode:
- Your account balance may be out of date
- You won’t be able to send bitcoin
- You can’t start the recovery process
- You can’t initiate, cancel, or dispute an inheritance claim
- You can’t initiate an inheritance funds transfer
- You won’t receive security or recovery notifications
Any bitcoin sent to your wallet while offline will appear in the Bitkey app as soon as you reconnect to the internet.
To keep your wallet up to date and fully functional, make sure your device is connected to the internet.
