If the Bitkey app is no longer available in public app stores—or if something were to happen to Block—you can still access your funds using the Emergency Exit Kit.
The Emergency Exit Kit is created during wallet setup and updated if you complete a Delay + Notify recovery that generates a new keyset. It allows you to move your funds out of Bitkey and into another wallet.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: The Emergency Exit Kit is not a way to download or restore the Bitkey app. It is a separate, narrowly scoped tool designed only to help you move your funds out of Bitkey in an emergency, when both Block and the Bitkey app are unavailable. It is NOT a replacement for the full-featured Bitkey app does not support features like inheritance or recovery. The tool may prompt you to download an app from GitHub, but this is not the full-featured Bitkey app—it is a standalone utility meant only to move funds without relying on Bitkey, Block, or public app stores.
