Bitkey includes an app security feature that helps protect access to the app by requiring your device’s screen lock (such as a PIN, fingerprint, or Face ID).
To use this feature, your phone must have a screen lock enabled. If you're not sure how to set this up, refer to your phone’s user guide or contact the manufacturer.
- From the Home screen, tap the
shield icon to open the Security hub
- Under Security & Recovery, tap
App security
- Find the app security option you'd like to use and toggle it On
- Tap Scan Bitkey device and confirm using your unlocked Bitkey device
To turn app security off, follow the same steps and toggle the feature off. Disabling this feature also requires confirmation with your unlocked Bitkey device.
When the app locks
Once enabled, the Bitkey app will lock automatically when it has been in the background for a period of time, or when your device is restarted.
Unlocking the app
When the app is locked, you’ll be prompted to unlock it using your device’s screen lock (such as Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN).
