An inheritance claim can be canceled at any time while it’s in a Claim pending state.
Either the beneficiary or the benefactor can cancel a claim before it is approved. Once canceled, it cannot be reinstated—but a new claim can be started if needed.
⚠️ Important: Block cannot cancel a claim on behalf of a beneficiary or benefactor under any circumstances.
If you did not cancel your claim
- It may have been canceled by your benefactor or someone with access to their Bitkey wallet
- You may have been removed as the beneficiary, which automatically cancels any active claims
If you’re unsure what happened, consider reaching out to your benefactor directly.
