Your beneficiary can be anyone you choose, as long as they meet the following requirements:
- They have their own Bitkey wallet (hardware device and app)
- They are at least 18 years of age, per our Terms of Service
- They accept your invitation to become a beneficiary
A beneficiary can also be someone you’ve added as a Recovery Contact, as long as they meet the same requirements.
You can update or remove your beneficiary at any time.

Ownership may be governed by a will or other legal document, which may take precedence.
