When you send bitcoin using Bitkey, you’ll pay a bitcoin network fee (also called a miner’s fee). This fee goes to miners and validators who confirm your transaction on the blockchain — it is not set by Bitkey, and it can vary based on network conditions.
Transaction fees depend on:
- The size of your transaction
- The number of transactions waiting to be confirmed (network congestion)
- The speed at which you want your transaction confirmed
Bitkey always shows the applicable fee before you send, so you can choose the speed and cost that work best for you.
Available speed options:
- Priority (~10 minutes) – Highest fee
- Standard (~30 minutes) – Moderate fee
-
Slow (~60 minutes) – Lowest fee
⏳ Bitkey will only show speed options for which you have sufficient funds in your wallet.
If the Bitcoin network is congested and your transaction hasn’t confirmed within the expected time, you may be able to pay an additional fee to speed it up. See How can I speed up my transaction?
