To send bitcoin, you’ll need a bitcoin address for your recipient. Bitkey supports both alphanumeric addresses and QR codes.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Bitcoin transactions are irreversible. Funds sent to the wrong address cannot be retrieved.
To send bitcoin:
- From the Bitkey app Home Screen, tap
Send.
- Enter the recipient’s bitcoin address or scan their
QR code.
- Enter the amount you want to send, then tap Continue.
- To switch between fiat and bitcoin, tap the ↑↓ arrows.
- To send your full balance, enter your balance, and then tap Send Max.

- Review the transaction details.
💡 Tip: Check the fees, estimated delivery time, and confirm the address is correct. - You may be prompted to approve the transaction using your Bitkey device. This can happen if your transaction exceeds your daily transfer limit or in other situations where additional approval is required.
