How do I add, delete, or update a fingerprint? – Bitkey

Bitkey allows you to save up to three different prints, and to edit or delete previously saved fingerprints.

To add a fingerprint:

To add a new fingerprint:

From the Bitkey app Home Screen > Settings > Bitkey Device > Fingerprints
Access your saved fingerprint information by using your hardware device
Choose the finger number you would like to add a fingerprint to and select Add
Enter a name for your fingerprint. Select Start Fingerprint and confirm using your hardware device.
The LED on the hardware device will turn white when it’s ready to scan a fingerprint. Gently place the new finger you want to enroll on the sensor. When the LED turns blue, lift your finger off the sensor and then gently place it back on the sensor. Continue until you see a green LED. The green LED indicates you have successfully completed the new fingerprint enrollment.
Select Save fingerprint and confirm by using your hardware device.

Bitkey requires that you have one saved fingerprint. You will be unable to delete a fingerprint if it is the only fingerprint you have stored.

To delete an existing fingerprint:

From the Bitkey app Home Screen > Settings > Bitkey Device > Fingerprints
Access your saved fingerprint information by using your hardware device
Choose the fingerprint you would like to delete and select Edit
Select Delete fingerprint
Confirm you want to proceed by selecting Delete fingerprint and confirming with your hardware device

To update the information associated with a saved fingerprint:

From the Bitkey app Home Screen > Settings > Bitkey Device > Fingerprints
Access your saved fingerprint information by using your hardware device
Choose the finger number you would like to update and select Edit
Enter a name for your fingerprint.
Select Save Fingerprint and confirm using your hardware device.
