Anytime a change is made to the beneficiary/benefactor relationship—by either the beneficiary or the benefactor—it will be reflected in both wallets.
- If you are a benefactor and your beneficiary terminates the relationship by selecting Remove benefactor, their name will no longer be visible to you on the Beneficiaries tab within Inheritance. Your beneficiary may have done this on their own or after their inheritance claim was approved and they initiated the funds transfer. If this was unexpected, we recommend reaching out to your beneficiary directly. If you wish to continue using your Bitkey wallet after an inheritance claim has been approved and the transfer initiated, see How do I set up a new Bitkey wallet if I already have an existing Bitkey wallet? for guidance.
- If you are a beneficiary and your benefactor terminates the relationship by selecting Remove beneficiary, their name will no longer be visible to you on the Benefactors tab within Inheritance. Your benefactor may have done this on their own or after declining an inheritance claim. If this was unexpected, we suggest contacting your benefactor to discuss further.
