To confirm that your Inheritance has been properly set up and activated, and that you have an active beneficiary, follow the steps below:
- From Bitkey app Home Screen select
Settings
- Tap
Inheritance
- On the Beneficiaries tab, you will see the name of your beneficiary along with their beneficiary status:
- If you do not see a name listed, then you do not currently have a beneficiary for your Inheritance. See How do I add or remove a beneficiary? for more information. If this doesn’t look right, see Why did the name of my beneficiary / benefactor disappear?
- Pending: Your beneficiary has not yet accepted the invitation and your Inheritance has not been set up. See How do I resend a beneficiary invitation? or How do I add or remove a beneficiary? for further instructions.
- Invite expired: Your beneficiary’s invitation expired before they accepted it, and your Inheritance is not set up. You will need to remove them as a beneficiary and add them again. See How do I add or remove a beneficiary? for further instructions.
- Active: Your beneficiary has accepted your beneficiary invitation and your Inheritance is fully set up.
- Claim pending and Claim approved: These are claim statuses and mean that you have an active beneficiary that has initiated an inheritance claim. See How do I see the status of an inheritance claim? for additional information.
