How do I check the status of my Inheritance plan?

To confirm that your Inheritance plan is properly set up and that you have an active beneficiary:

Check your Inheritance status

1. From Bitkey app Home Screen, tap the settings icon.
2. Tap Inheritance.
3. In the Beneficiaries tab, you’ll see your beneficiary’s name and current status.

⚖️ Legal Note: Your Inheritance plan is not active until your beneficiary accepts the invitation and you reopen the Bitkey app to activate the plan. 

What the statuses mean

• No name listed – You do not currently have a beneficiary assigned

• Pending – Your beneficiary has not accepted the invitation and your Inheritance plan is not yet active

• Invite expired – The invitation expired before your beneficiary accepted it

• Active – Your beneficiary accepted the invitation and you reopened the Bitkey app to activate the plan. Your Inheritance setup is complete.
• Claim pending / Claim approved – Your beneficiary has initiated an inheritance claim
