If you received a notification that your recovery was canceled—and you did not cancel it—it’s possible someone has access to your Bitkey app or your Bitkey hardware device.
You can restart your recovery and protect your wallet by following the steps below.
If you were recovering from a lost hardware device
- Open the Bitkey app on your new phone.
- Tap Got it to dismiss the message.
- Restart your recovery using the same process.

Once verified, no one else can cancel or start a recovery without access to that channel.
